But I didn’t always feel this way. When I was teenager I was what some might call pessimistic. I suffered from depression, struggled with family issues, and my school advisor told me I would never amount to anything.
I chose to take control of my story and so can you!
I can help! I help teens stop self-destructive behavior and seeking perfectionism so they can feel worthy and love life! I know how hard it is to be vulnerable and sit with uncomfortable feelings. The thing is when we avoid negative feelings they only get stronger. I am here to help your teen learn how to manage overwhelming feelings before they get out of control.
My Training and Approach
I am Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT. I am trained in Mindfulness, Projective Therapy, and a Teen Certified Yoga Instructor. In my experience a combination of these techniques works best for teens. It empowers them to realize they are worthy and helps them to make healthy choices. I started private practice so teens could have a safe place where they could just be themselves, and feel less alone.
My passion and ultimate goal is to help your teen feel worthy, to know that they aren’t different or wrong for thinking or feeling the way they do. You can rewrite your narrative. Your past does not have to dictate your future!
