- Tends to make impulsive decisions
Those signs, and others, suggest that your teen may be struggling with ADHD. Our skilled counselors offer expertise and help you get to the root of problem.
The Benefits of ADHD Testing
ADHD assessments include evidence based assessments and interviews designed to gain insights into the core symptoms of ADHD-inattention, activity, and impulsivity.
ADHD testing and a comprehensive evaluation will lead to an accurate diagnosis, instead of over-diagnosis or misdiagnosis. An accurate diagnosis can provide several benefits to your teen:
- Help guide individualized care plan to their specific needs
- Provide valuable insights into your teen’s strengths and challenges related to attention and self-control.
- Improve your teen’s self-awareness and foster greater self-confidence
- Improve academic interventions and performance
- Early intervention and proper treatment are shown to increase long-term treatment success
Determining if someone is living with ADHD is not done in isolation. We provide a report that offers valuable insights to support teens and families in communicating with pediatricians and schools, so they can identify the best next steps.
The ADHD Assessment and Treatment Process
Mindful Healing applies an evidence-based assessment process designed to identify if your teen has ADHD. If so, we provide the highest quality care for your teen. This includes a set of steps, with one building on the next in a thoroughly integrated manner. By doing so, you and your teen know what to expect each step of the way.
